We’re looking for a Bookkeeper to join our growing team.
Our ideal team member is organized, detail-oriented, curious, and genuinely enjoys bookkeeping. Someone who takes pride in keeping things accurate, loves solving problems, and isn’t afraid to ask questions when something doesn’t look right.
This role is perfect for someone who has experience working in a bookkeeping or accounting firm and enjoys supporting multiple small business clients at once.
You’ll work closely with our bookkeeping team, staff accountants, and CPAs to help ensure our clients receive accurate and timely financial information each month.

What You’ll Do
While your tasks will vary day to day, we have built-in, recurring deadlines that will need to be met. We keep routine, but avoid the mundane. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate books for a portfolio of clients and supporting our monthly bookkeeping processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Recording and categorizing transactions through bank feeds and integrated applications
- Reviewing transactions for accuracy and proper coding
- Reconciling bank, credit card, loan, and merchant processor accounts
- Preparing and maintaining monthly balance sheet workpapers
- Assisting with month-end close procedures
- Troubleshooting bookkeeping discrepancies and escalating issues when appropriate
- Following up with clients regarding bookkeeping questions and missing information
- Assisting with sales tax return preparation and review processes
- Preparing payroll-related journal entries and maintaining payroll records
- Troubleshooting software integrations and bookkeeping technology issues
- Supporting bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up projects
- Keeping client files and documentation organized within our cloud-based systems
Our clients utilize a variety of platforms, including:
- Xero
- QuickBooks Online
- Hubdoc
- Gusto
- Shopify
- Stripe
- Square
- Zapier
- Expensify
Experience with these platforms is a plus, but we’re primarily looking for someone who is comfortable learning new technology and enjoys figuring things out.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of bookkeeping experience
- Experience working in a bookkeeping, accounting, or CAS firm is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals
- Experience performing account reconciliations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage recurring deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help
- Strong technology skills and willingness to learn new software
Bonus Points For
- Accounting degree or bookkeeping certification
- Experience with Xero
- Experience with e-commerce clients
- Experience with sales tax filings
- Experience with bookkeeping cleanup projects

Compensation
$45,000 – $55,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
